METRI’s IT Advisory activities use the IT & Sourcing Lifecycle. This is based on an accumulated history of fact-based information that forms the core of our services.

IT service sourcing is becoming an increasingly important component of companies’ strategic operations. Internal and external factors are forcing companies to implement their IT services, organizations and processes at an ever-greater speed and with ever-greater transparency and flexibility. A structured approach ensures that you ask the right questions. Questions that ultimately help you determine the best strategic sourcing solution.

The four phases – Plan, Build, Run and Optimize – create an ecosystem within which METRI helps you tackle your strategic sourcing issues, i.e. decision-making, implementation, evaluation and adjustment.

Attention needs to be paid to the IT organization and to the way in which this is governed – before, during and after sourcing. This involves aligning the IT organization’s service processes, job titles, roles and responsibilities to the newly implemented sourcing situation.

In the Plan phase, we devise strategies, develop business cases and analyse the IT marketplace. By doing so, we shape the business and IT objectives as effectively as possible.

In the Build phase, we convert these strategies into actual sourcing solutions and draft scenarios, and structure supplier/cost management.

In the Run phase, we move forward with transition and transformation. We structure IT Governance and roll out new operating methods.

In the Optimize phase, we evaluate the existing IT sourcing structure and the relations with supplier(s) and internal customer(s), e.g. service levels, costs, control, etc., in search of areas for improvement.
